Beth Speaks: CHRA Building Trust

February 20, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

It’s a privilege to speak at the CHRA (Chesapeake Human Resource Association) Monthly Education Program to inspire and encourage HR Professionals.

Smart, Savvy Change happens when we understand the importance of Building Trust. Trust is the golden key that unlocks and secures every relationship and every opportunity, and drives results.

This program is approved for both HRCI and SHRM Professional Development Credits.

HRCI – This program ties to Functional Area 1: Business Management & Strategy.

Responsibility: Establish strategic relationships with key individuals to influence decision making. And, Establish relationships/alliances with key individuals outside the organization to assist in achieving the organization’s goals.

Knowledge: Business Concepts

Trust is the key to unlocking every single relationship both internally and externally. Trust is foundational and vital to cohesive organizations. HR Professionals are Trust Agents, and need to understand the important role they play in both internally and externally.

Trust agents make sure there is as much trust as possible between stakeholders: the organization, managers, workers, and government so that as little time as possible is wasted on bureaucracy, negotiations, rules, policies, disagreements, pink slips, strikes and lawsuits. Because all that wasted time, effort and money are better spent on developing innovative programs and services.

SHRM: This program ties to the Behavior Competencies of: Leadership & Navigation, Relationship Management, and Communication.
